I’m deeply worried about him getting attention from this and a generation of people looking up to an abuser like I once did. I’m a victim of abuse myself and I regularly get “what he did is not that bad” comments when people see the Ren and Stimpy tattoo that takes up half my arm

My point being is this has to be handled well, preferably by funny women, veterans of the show, and people who love and understand the characters but not idolize John.

This is something I care deeply about but I ultimately want it handled well and I want it to succeed. They have to take risks with humor but hire people that are funny and push cartoony expressions and poses.
