What we have all failed to consider is that (allegedly) bracing yourself to be hit by a riot shield is actually much more violent than hitting someone with a riot shield. Perhaps the DA is right: anyone who braces themselves for a physical attack may deserve life in prison

I do love a legal system where I’m facing a first degree felony for allegedly buying paint at the store — you know, the level of charge supposedly reserved for murderers and rapists

Incredible that Sim Gill not only excused but commended the behavior of the officers who shot a 22 year old in the back, but is willing to throw a group of teenagers and 20-somethings in prison for life for allegedly *checks notes* painting a building

Anyway, when my lawyer told me I could do my thing I’m not sure this is what he pictured so I’m goingto get a more coherent statement together. But y’all, this is unacceptable — not just for me, but for everyone involved. Sim Gill needs to be done in this town. Don’t forget

I do want to add that my first charge, criminal mischief, can technically only go up to a second degree felony on its own. It’s first degree because Sim added a gang enhancement — you know, the kind of thing you reserve for when multiple people get together to kill someone.

Sim Gill is taking laws meant to prosecute the most evil murderers and rapists, and using them to try and throw me and other activists in jail for alleged property damage. Because he didn’t like seeing his building defaced after he praised officers who murdered a 22 year old.

And not for nothing, but I’m almost positive that the only real explanation for the alleged “balling up of my fists” would have been to hold the hand of the person next to me. They hate when we care for each other.
