THREAD: Utilising university/work experience.

2) This thread is a direct example of how skills I picked up at @edgehill university are directly applicable in my career. I frequently wrote all sorts of pieces in a module aptly named & #39;Writing for the Media& #39;. In this module I was required to write press releases.
3) I became quite used to the structure and how to write something effective which will grab the attention of the reader.
That was then mixed with the knowledge I gained at @loverugbyleague when writing articles on work experience.

4) I became used to sourcing a story from initial interview, through transcribing all the way to publishing.
Therefore, when Barry completed his challenge (story at end of thread) - I knew exactly what to do.

5) I interviewed Barry, wrote a press release and article for our own website, had the release signed off by Barry and relevant parties and got in touch with @WigToday.
6) Goes to show experience can always be utilised, no matter the setting. Even if your path is a winding one, like mine.
