(1) Today @BigCommerce joins the #Nasdaq family and I could help not but reflect on how BC has impacted my life in so many ways. Spoiler alert - it has everything to do with people.

Impacts from working at BC:

- I met my now wife

- I lived in Australia

(2)- My time at BC led me to work with the talented people at @Brightpearl, Web, and @JasperPIM (which expanded my travels and network to EMEA, Canada, and so on)

(3)- I left the company in April 2016 and have not had a day where I am not messaging with either a former or current BC employees. Not a single day & it's been over 4 years. The majority of the "friends" list at my wedding were friends made at BC.

(4)- I learned what it means to be humble (also learned the opposite)
- Yesterday, I was speaking with people across EMEA, , Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. I met everyone single one of those people through BC

(5) -
- I learned how to build a partner program
- I learned that ego kills careers and product roadmaps
- I learned that people are not perfect and that is ok
- I learned that people will always be my number one priority. Always.

(6) - So yes, BC goes public today & the personal impact it has had on me will always be far greater than the stock price. Congrats to everyone involved!
