Excellent piece from @GrayInGlasgow on a strategy to win independence without #Section30. Seems credible to me, although I can think of much more radical things we could do. https://bellacaledonia.org.uk/2020/08/05/a-new-legal-strategy-to-win-independence/
@GrayInGlasgow points out that Henry McLeish has already suggested the 'push the limits' strategy; and that the Westminster government is already playing fast and loose with the Scotland Act. https://bellacaledonia.org.uk/2020/08/05/a-new-legal-strategy-to-win-independence/
It's worth reading @GrayInGlasgow's piece in the context of @RLMcAlpine piece on #LandReform today. One thing @scotgov can clearly do is to licence grouse moors, and to refuse as licence to any moor on which an eagle has disappeared in the last decade. https://sourcenews.scot/robin-mcalpine-ignore-the-lies-land-reform-is-legal-and-eagles-dont-fall-from-the-skies/
Other things @Scotgov can do on #LandReform is put hefty and progressive tax on large land holdings, as I've suggested again and again.

#LandReform will really get up the Tories' noses, and as an additional benefit @Scotgov gets revenue.

On other matters, road safety is clearly a devolved matter, and transporting nuclear warheads by road clearly isn't safe. @scotgov could impose a system of notifications and safeguards on nuclear weapons transport that was so onerous it became effectively impossible.
Again, Scotland is pursuing a strategy to bring #Covid19 numbers down sharply, and it's working. But the open border poses an obvious public health hazard. I wrote about this back in April.

The new 90 minute test obviously makes this more practicable. @scotgov could stop all northbound vehicles at the border, and, if any occupant either refuses or fails the test, simply turn them back.
All these things can be done; all of them would have majority support from the electorate in Scotland - they would be POPULAR; all of them are within devolved competence; and all of them would seriously annoy @govuk.
Let's get ASSERTIVE, Scotland!
