Oy @VodafoneUK why don’t the options for titles on your online forms include “Ms”? The only options I have are Mrs, Miss and Mx. One says I’m married with my husband’s name, one says I’m single, one says I’m gender neutral. I’m none of those. I’m a Ms. Why isn’t it an option?
A tiny number of woke souls may use Mx as their title, but *millions* of women use Ms to denote the fact they’re women but their marital status is irrelevant. Why would @VodafoneUK choose Mx over Ms? Sort it out and sharpish or I’ll find a new phone provider.
It’s very foolish for companies like @VodafoneUK to play woke. By all means offer the Mx option but don’t take away women’s choices at the same time. If you can have a sodding Sir and a Rev option, you can have a Ms too. There are a lot more of us women among your customers...
In the end I decided to opt for “Sir” as the silliest of the available title options from @VodafoneUK. But if you don’t let me change that to Ms, I will take my not inconsiderable monthly phone bill elsewhere.
