Do we Public school (distance)- here is what happened last year in distance learning. We got outdated tech- which literally crashed every day— and a 1800 number for tech.

My sons teacher listed on Monday math chapters. A suggestion to read. And that’s it. I built his education, i worked with his grandma to tutor him (a privilege as she’s a highly trained teacher)

My daughters kinder class posted daily videos. We couldn’t see them- because the chrome books given crashed daily.

Public school is about to have kids in a class 10% who’s parents did amazing digital school and 50% who are a little behind and 40% who are really behind and then expected to somehow catch them up. In a class with 30 kids.

Do you do private school- they’ll open sooner, smaller class size. Impossible cost. Sure you can make it happen but it’s gonna be tight in an economy about to crash. Also yes a lot of privates don’t accept special ed. Also! Hello education inequality

Do you home school? Hey do you know how to do surgery? Me neither. It’s a skilled professional. So is teaching you assholes I can’t just suddenly teach 3 grades. Also I have to have job because homelessness is also bad for kids

Do you microschool- education inequity for days. And you’re the one causing it. It’s also highly expensive.

Do you send the kids to the in person open school or do you keep your job IS A REAL QUESTION for some parents.

No one wants to help parents beyond vague advice designed to shame and hope for the best.

We are making the best decisions we can- congress won’t help, most employers aren’t helping, etc.
