kuroken au where bouncing ball co. ceo kozume kenma wakes up on his 21st birthday, but instead of a celebration, his dead parents last will and testament was revealed to him —-and now he has to marry nekoma ltd’s ceo kuroo tetsurou?
> it was hate at first sight. this jumpstart ceo just loves riling kenma up. they were about to call off the marriage until the testaments got leaked. for some reason, after the issue got into news, both of their companies had drastic increase of their sales.
> so the two compromised. they’d stay engaged until the trend in their market dies down. talk about fake dating overseas with couple instagram pictures, while also attending rich parties and banquets together sipping wine in suits, holding hands all the time.
> talk about sleeping together in one hotel room after a party. they were both tipsy and warm and clingy, so a few secrets were shared. kenma talked about reclaiming the company from those who tried to control his inheritance and not having much memories as a child.
> kuroo talked about being overwhelmed by many people in the industry, not knowing who to trust, the fear of losing your parents’ hard work in one night (which kenma relates to). kuroo also opened up his dreams and nightmares after his parents died when he was young.
> after a few more fake dates, and staged closeness...they eventually fell in love. the closeness was too much to bear. until one night, after attending another bougee party where both of them drank a bit too much wine because they wanna avoid Those Feelings
> the walk back on their hotel room was intense. cackling with energy wanting to be spent on each other. so they did. as soon as kuroo swiped the keycard to their door, kenma pushed him on the bed. “i’m falling for you.” that was all kenma said before he took the other’s lips.
> which of course kuroo eagerly responded, whispering “i know, kitten. me too.” the night was all about buttons popping off their shirts, heady kisses, and skin electrified at each other’s contact. it wasn’t sex no, it was too beautiful to be called sex.
> the next morning, when kuroo woke up, for the first time not having a dream or a nightmare, he was worried. kenma wasn’t on the bed. but it was obvious they spent the night together. their suits and shoes were discarded on the floor and the hickeys were red on his neck.
> later on, kuroo found out kenma was missing. not in the company, not seen by his assistant either. kuroo receives a call, kenma being held hostage by the group which leaked the testaments of their parents publicly. just a villain wanting to destroy both of their companies
> but of course it backfired of their engagement announcement because instead of crashing down their sales, it increased. so the group resorted to kidnapping kenma instead. insert some wild action scene and kuroo going to the scene, bodyguards ready.
> when kuroo sees kenma, half conscious with blood on his lips and hair, kuroo’s head throbs. kenma, dazed from the pain, hears kuroo entering but muffled because there’s also a painful headache coming thru his head.

that’s when the memories came in.
> kenma remembers. they were childhood friends. him and kuroo. their families, when beginning their businesses were close friends. eventually that closeness also passed onto them. to the point that it was actually him and kuroo who asked their parents to let them get married —
— in the future.
> kuroo’s dreams and nightmares began making sense. just on kenma’s tenth birthday, their families celebrated. on their way home, they got into an accident. both of their parents dead, kenma bloodied beside him, only kuroo awake in the car which caused trauma to him.
> the accident left kenma with mild amnesia, while kuroo also dealth with the trauma, his mind erasing kenma in his memories. that’s why they didn’t know each other when they first met. plus the fact that their parents’ car accident was covered up by those who were trying to —
> —steal their companies from them. anyway, this is getting long but in the end, kuroken is safe. for the first time, kenma calls kuroo “kuro” again, and kuroo cries as kenma hugs him. kenma tells him he was sorry he didn’t remember. he was sorry he wasn’t there when they both —
> —lost their parents. he was sorry he had forgotten. they both were. and they spent the rest of the afternoon embracing each other and all the memories they lost in between.

sometime that afternoon, kuroo picks up the ring he bought. it was only for show, but this time.
> this time, when kuroo held kenma’s fingers in his, he asked.

“marry me this time, for real?”

to which only kenma cried while murmuring a soft yes. yes of course he’d marry this man. they both promised, gotten their parents’ blessing back when they were younger.
> cue ending with an instagram post of their hands clutched tightly with a ring.

(oh and the group who did shit on them were about to get sued soon so yeah)

the caption of the post said:

kodzuken: transcending fate and memories.

kuroo: beyond everything.
