He bamboozled the world’s best keeper and also displayed his counter attacking ability. Ronaldo was criticized for his ability to link up with teammates but this game he put those claims to bed. This was peak BBC and prime Cristiano.

He turned the tie around in 18 odd minutes. Wolfsburg didn’t take him seriously and he shut them up. Truly magical and a performance filled with emotion. You can’t not appreciate this.

Bicycle kick. Appreciated by rivals. Enough said. He was off form and inconsistent all season, but this game sparked his comeback and showed why even in his bad season. He should be taken seriously and is a threat.

Nobody expected this. He’d barely scored against big nations in his career. Not even the biggest CR7 fanboys expected it. After this game I woke up the next day and still was in disbelief.
