1/ Honesty and integrity are not the same things.
Honesty involves telling the truth about facts while integrity involves being truthful about your values.
You can be honest while lacking integrity.
2/ For example, a cheating spouse can be honest about having an affair, while also lacking integrity for doing something inconsistent with their professed values.
3/ What are values? My definition: Values are attributes of the person you want to be in the future.
4/ What are some other examples of people being honest but lacking integrity?
5/ I'll start with an embarrassing confession. I'd tell my daughter to go to bed on time and to stop starring at screens so much, while I'd stay up late returning emails. I'd justify it saying "daddy has to work" or some other BS. What a hypocrite!
6/ I was honest about staying up late even though I was doing something against my own values of taking care of my body and giving it proper rest.
Being Indistractable is about being honest with others as well as living with integrity for ourselves!
