2. The pandemic has made conducting the Census, always a monumental task, much harder.
Up until a few days ago, the Census Bureau and the White House agreed they needed more time to complete their work.

3. Then this week everything changed. Census Bureau announced they would stop all counting ONE MONTH EARLY, on September 30
This comes as 40% of households haven't been counted

4. What happened?
Once the Census Bureau submits its results, Trump plans to subtract undocumented immigrants & send those manipulated numbers to Congress

5. So the Census Bureau has set aside its job of doing an accurate count, and is conforming the process to Trump's political timetable

6. By cutting the count short, the Census will likely undercount minorities and other marginalized communities, robbing them of federal funding and reducing their political power for a decade or longer https://popular.info/p/stealing-the-census
7. This is particularly important to understand because IT CAN BE STOPPED
Democrats can insist on preserving the integrity of the Census as a condition of the next coronavirus relief package
