Must be growing or they will leave your business.

Everybody needs career progression and you need an individual plan for them.

This is regardless of whether someone’s goal was to make money to go out on the weekend or to take his job.
Money management is crucial.

Separate personal income from business income.

They are different things.

‘Generally in the early days I was broke and the company was well off’.

Look after the business early in your career and it will look after you for the rest of your life.
Your income and wealth come from your assets. His people are his asset.

Be indifferent to your money, think about it like it’s not yours.

Take the emotion away.

Don’t base your idea of success on your bank balance. It could all be gone tomorrow.
Had a single focus of building his business.

First 12/13 years he travelled relentlessly to ensure success.

His answer to most things was;

- Grow your revenue.

- Spend more on marketing, do more sales.

Revenue solves most problems.
Constantly planning and strategizing. Daily, weekly.

Be meticulous with your numbers. Know them back to front.

Clarify and articulate to people what you are trying to achieve.

💡 His job was to paint a picture to those around him.
Business came down to these 5👇

1. Sales - how do we grow revenue?

2. Recruit - always looking for great people

3. Train - upskill the team to get the absolute best out of them

4. Management - systems in place to ensure each business unit had the best chance of success
5. Growth - constantly planning on doing more of the above to grow his businesses 📈

I know this thread is a little different to what we normally see on here.
