I am just so sad and frustrated at this point in the pandemic. It has decimated my friends who work in critical care. We threw a large party at our house a few years ago. Of the attendees, 2 are dead, two fighting for life on ventilators, 3 are altered from brain damage -
and are unlikely to ever work in medicine again. These people are all two to three decades younger than me. It is shocking. Instead of working hard to stop the slaughter of our first line healthcare workers, our leaders are determined to create a new front line: teachers
We should be doing all we can to bring this community spread to a stop. Today I am completely disgusted that we have a president to quips “it is what it is” as he lies about what we have done or are doing to end this pandemic. We are about to see a new phase of community spread
driven by students, decimating teachers, staff, their own parents and driving it deeper into the community simply because we have a government that cares only about its economic agenda- which if they would listen and think, they would realize will collapse if they don’t get
this virus out of the community. I feel like we are just watching a combination of stupidly, madness, and greed in action when we look at what our govenment is doing. We must concentrate on getting rid of this virus. It doesn’t care what any of us think or believe. It will
simply move amongst us and infect us, kill, alter, or change our lives for ever as long as it gets access to us. We are simply aiding in our own slaughter if we do not stop and do the hard work here. We owe it to each other, to everyone who it has taken and altered to stop this
virus. Why are we allowing our leaders to be so stupid? We need to hold them accountable if we plan to have a future.
