All the services rescue orgs talk about for sex workers to exit already exist. They haven't exactly thought of anything new. The provisions such as social housing, benefits, drug & alcohol services etc. aren't new

The issue is they are underfunded & it isn't that easy to leave
Street sex workers in drug services take significantly longer to go through treatment. They are excluded or evicted from their homes. Services mistreat and judge us.

Benefits dont stretch and are in fact, a main reason people become sex workers
The issue isnt that sex workers need better services, we need to be treated better by services.

Also, it isnt so easy to just up and leave sex work - its both a lifestyle and primary source of income
Also, what do you expect sex workers to do after? Sit around all day doing nothing? You need to replace it with something.

A minimum wage job isn't going to hack it, and people don't employ homeless heroin addicts either m
Minimum wage is shit to adjust to and an insult of a solution. Street sex workers earn significantly more than minimum wage, and they still have outgoings and financial responsibilities that aren't going to go away.
