I'll be honest about Britain. Firstly we're not remotely overcrowded. It may feel that way if your life revolves around inner London and especially so if you're cooped up in a flat there. But we aren't overcrowded.

Secondly more people means a bigger economy. It really does. There really isn't an "optimum" population size so setting up a Commission to determine such a number is not just borderline racist but utterly pointless

And because we need more people to ensure our economy grows, this means having people who are a different skin colour, religion or culture. And you know, the evidence tells us this sort of diversity is also good for making is rich.
