before the thread begins I just wanna say that your follower count doesn’t mean everything and doesn’t determine whether if you are a “good/goat” account, here’s just some insight that I think will help your account

1. this is a no brainer, but be respectful, don’t be racist, sexist, discriminatory etc. no one wants a mutual like dat
2. be yourself: post your hot takes, don’t be scared, you don’t gotta believe in what everyone else says, people can tell if you’re baiting
post about what people aren’t discussing!! the tl has enough talk about Kanye and Kendrick :)
3. don’t be scared to interact with the ‘big’ accounts! I think some people are intimidated if they interact with a big account and they disagree with your takes, but if you have fun/respectful discussions with them you will make yourself memorable :) after some time I’m sure
they’ll follow back
4. join group chats: group chats r great ways to gain mutuals and they can help you to get closer with the gc members, this is prolly where you’ll gain your long-lasting close friends
5. make yourself memorable: don’t change ur avi/pfp all the time, I cannot stress this enough but I’ve accidentally unfollowed so many people bc I couldn’t recognize their avi or their name. and just a tip don’t use kanye avis, like almost everyone had kanye Avis and it’s harder
to stand out. also make yourself iconic through a certain way you tweet or create staple posts. eg, I try to make myself memorable through my “KEEP 2 BANISH 2” and “dear hh twitter” tweets
6. when ur in a middle of a fruitful discussion, follow the person you’re talking to!! they’ll reciprocate the same energy I’m sure
7. spread some positivity, make your followers feel loved and appreciated :) everyone loves a good wholesome account, we stan <3
8. participate in follow trains!! Issa good way to gain many followers :)
