why Islam is a peaceful religion and you should stop calling us terrorists and stop your islamophobia, a thread:
just because a few terrorist attacks happened from Muslims doesn't make all Muslims terrorists, stop your stereotypes and stop calling every single person who says they're muslim terrorist because that's straight up islamophobia.
1 — Islam isn't against other religions and beliefs in fact it supports every other religion. The Quran emphasises free choice. "The truth [has now come] from your Sustainer: Let, then, him who wills, believe in it, and let him who wills, reject it," And also:
"Whoever chooses to follow the right path follows it but for his own good; and whoever goes astray goes but astray to his own hurt" Resoundingly, the Quran declares that "there shall be no coercion in matters of faith". Belief is an individual choice
or, rather, it is a choice involving the individual and God. Therefore, forced conversions are simply unacceptable, and anyone who would use force rather than persuasion to promote religion must ignore the view of the person central to the Qur'an.
prophet Muhammad married a Christian woman and he had Jewish friends and neighbors, which shows how islam is equal and okay with other religions and beliefs.
2 — people are always saying that women has no rights in islam and they're treated badly which is definitely wrong. women in Islam are even entitled to their own right to land. There is evidence that Muhammad asked women for advice and took their thoughts into account,
specifically with regard to the Quran. Women were allowed to pray with men, take part in commercial interactions, and played a role in education.
3 — hijab isn't strict or something bad and no it doesn't look ugly! ( i personally like myself better wearing it ) it's something modest and there's also modesim in other religions, also not all muslim women wear it.
it's traditional form, it is worn by women to maintain modesty and privacy from unrelated males. modesty in the Quran concerns both men's and women's.
4 — Eid al-Adha Also known as the Festival of Sacrifice. Every year, Muslims celebrate Eid al-Adha to remember Ibrahim's loyalty and obedience to Allah above all others. And because of Ibrahim's actions. so no we don't "brutally slaughter" the animal we do it in the
slowest way possible, the animal doesn't even see the knife or gets beaten up we take care of it before the sacrifice, sometimes children play with it. also we sacrifice of a sheep, cow, goat, buffalo or camel because we're not allowed to eat pork. also in Eid
people who sacrificed give out to people in need who don't have enough money to buy or eat meat. and it's really wholesome and very beautiful so yeah shut up with your islamophobic excuses.
5 — LGBTQ+ in islam, first of all you're allowed to be LGBTQ+ in islam. a common mistake a lot of people make is that since dating is not allowed, being a part of the LGBTQ+ community is as well. when people say that they don't support LGBTQ+ because their religion doesn't
allow it they're straight up being hypocrite because there's a lot of sins that people still do like listening to music for example also Islam doesn't allow judgement so it's Allah only who can judge us on our beliefs and thoughts. Allah punishes us for our actions and not our
thoughts. you can be homosexual and still live by the Islamic law and practice islam it's totally valid.
6 — fasting. we fast during Ramadan and it's completely normal it's one of the five pillars of Islam. we fast as an act of worship, a chance to get closer to God, and a way to become more compassionate to those in need. we also can fast on other days.
side note: not all Muslims are Arab!!! and not all Arabs are Muslim!!!!!!!!!!!
okay I'm done I'm sorry if there's spelling mistakes or anything. and please if you disagree or anything just idk fuck off? i tried to include everything i can and i used the internet for help so yeah.
