Where is the mainstream press attention for the crisis hitting the charity sector? So much about hospitality sector, yet a wall of silence about thousands of redundancies, full closure of small charities and specific services, tens of millions of research spend cut.
I can find the odd story filed under "science" about medical research cuts. Of course it's science but the human impact makes this about much more than lost learning.

I can find an article about Oxfam - but it seems to be only "interesting" because of previous issues.
Even the charities section of the Guardian doesn't seem to cover them all.

I know others must be saying this but it's really hit me this last week or two that I only know about any of it because I'm in the sector - and, specifically, because I'm in the sector and on Twitter.
Meanwhile the announced charity "bailout" (that was a fraction of what was needed) has still hardly been distributed over 3 months later. I despair.
