The Rhosus, a Moldovan flagged ship sailing to Mozambique, which called to into the port of Beirut in 2013, is the likely source of the 2,750 tons of ammonium nitrate that triggered the explosion yesterday #Lebanon

The shipment was seized by Lebanese authorities, and a decision to move it to a warehouse was taken years later.

Alleged court documents here from years before the explosion (and after the seizure of the ship) request Lebanese authority dispose of the ammonium nitrate transported by the Rhosus, and highlight the risks associated with storing it (via @FirasMaksad)
