Sept. 15 public hearing
Planning Board recommended annexation 7-0
6-1 for site review on building

OSBT recommended accepting open space dedication
I don't care enough to tweet much more about this. I think council is voting to call up this site review or not. Annexation automatically comes to council, I believe (hence Sept. 15 public hearing)
Brockett moves the consent agenda (which all this past stuff was on: NEWR, muni, annexation/site review)
So now we'll see how council members vote
And I'll try to clarify for you.
OK so everyone votes yes, which means they support moving forward the limited amended version of NEWR (with rental assistance added in but nothing else)

But Yates says he might not support that at second reading.
I'mma stick with this thread bc the call-up for the 5600 Airport Road is what we're talking about (it was on consent and call up)

No one wants to review that, so we're done with that one.
Wow and somehow we're down to our last 2 items, at a combined 20 min. So we're... ahead of schedule???
How did this happen.
Anyway, Young is talking about recruitment for a new city manager.

She and Brockett are going to be on that subcommittee to work with HR on the search process. (if the rest of council agrees to that)
Apparently they're supposed to have a public hearing (that wasn't on the agenda) but Carr says it's impractical, so council suspends the rules and DOESN'T have a public hearing.
Talking now about *who* will do the recruitment. I'm not super familiar with the details, but it's basically (I think) do we keep the firm we are using right now (looking for budget manager and planning director) or find a new one?
Or I guess a specific recruiter, whose name is Heather.
Heather is apparently good at poaching ppl from their current jobs rather than finding ppl who are looking for jobs.
I'm paraphrasing.
Friend: Does council get to weigh in on the job description before it goes out?
She also asks what Brautigam thinks. She loves the current recruiter.

And the subcommittee will come back to council with the job description, after public input.
