YES, YES, YES. These governors (including my own; Dems and Republicans) have banded together to make rapid testing a reality. https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="👏" title="Applaus-Zeichen" aria-label="Emoji: Applaus-Zeichen">https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="👏" title="Applaus-Zeichen" aria-label="Emoji: Applaus-Zeichen">https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="👏" title="Applaus-Zeichen" aria-label="Emoji: Applaus-Zeichen"> https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.washingtonpost.com/coronavirus/coronavirus-state-testing-compact/2020/08/04/8b73bed8-d66f-11ea-9c3b-dfc394c03988_story.html%3foutputType=amp">https://www.google.com/amp/s/www...
My school district cited lag in testing results as part of the reason for starting remotely. I’m so hopeful that we can implement something like this: https://www.nytimes.com/2020/07/03/opinion/coronavirus-tests.amp.html">https://www.nytimes.com/2020/07/0...
In a nutshell: these tests aren& #39;t as sensitive BUT they detect at the critical moment: when someone is infectious. And because they& #39;re cheap, you can test A LOT and prevent spread. Imagine if we could test every morning before school or work, then stay home if we get a positive
Furthermore, because these types of tests catch you at the moment you& #39;re infectious, it assists with contact tracing in that you go back only a couple of days vs. 2 weeks.
