Now let's turn to the state legislative GOP primaries, where some GOP moderate incumbents are losing primaries in competitive districts right now.
Early results but it's not looking good for GOP moderates in a number of districts, including some Safe R races that would become competitive if moderates lose.

Basically, at the top of the ballot (congressional), things looking good for GOP. Downballot? Not so much right now
Some more, though unsure if I'd say HD-71 would be competitive if it becomes open. Would need to find out gubernatorial numbers.
2 more precincts in SD-11 and the margin continues to grow. It's Safe R in our ratings right now but if Skubal loses it's moving SHARPLY leftward.
Like if he loses it's going straight to Toss-Up. That's how sharply leftward. Moderate R's are getting their shit kicked in tonight downballot. Only bright spot I'm seeing for them is SD-20.
Dirks also expanding her margin in HD-20.
DIRKS HAS WON. Moderate Republican Jan H Kessinger loses his primary to an ardent conservative. This seat voted for Clinton.

Moves from LIKELY R to TILT D. D's now favored to flip the seat.
ANOTHER ONE: Skubal LOSES his primary to a conservative challenger.

The seat moves from SAFE R to TOSS-UP. Trump narrowly won this Johnson County seat, but he's gonna lose it this year given the trends.

Moderate R's are dying tonight in the KS-LEG
Karleskint of HD-42 losing his primary right now too, but he can still pull it off. It's Uncontested R unfortunately for Democrats.
State Rep. Tom Cox is out like a light in his bid to unseat appointed incumbent Mike Thompson, who is a conservative in a narrow Trump seat. Unsure if I'm gonna move this one from Toss-Up to Tilt D or not, gotta look more into it. It's in Johnson County.
Yeah, we're moving it to Tilt D. https://twitter.com/Uncrewed/status/1287908870631849986
