surely this lookds like every other stat that internet usually gives you ,but we have to look further and deeper to understand how underrated laliga really is
the total record (W-D-L) of LA LIGA vs EPL is 63-49-41 totalling to 153 matches played all over the tournament throughout the years.but that only gives us a vague understanding.
as you know the usual narrative of laliga by EPL fans is that Real Madrid and Barcelona along with Atletico madrid are the sole contributors to this dominating stat and apart from these teams the rest arent up to par.
the EPl teams that played in the UCL can be classified int two .you could either chose the "usual top 8" as they are the teams that are seen to be representing EPL in UCL significant amount of time.but we will use the top 6 (Man Utd,Man city,arsenal,chelsea,tottenham,liverpool)..
the reason i chose the given top 6 is because everton and newcastle high position in the all time table given above is due to an average midtable positioning which means their appearances in UCL are less when compared to others.the second group not in the "usual top 6" are...
namely Newcastle,Everton,Leeds Utd and Leicester.I have classified the matchups between La Liga vs EPL into 3
1)Not "Usual top 6 EPL" vs laliga teams
2)Not "Usual top 3 La Liga" vs EPL teams
a)Not "Usual top 3 LL"vs Not "usual top 6
b)Not "Usual top 3 LL"vs "Usual Top 6 EPL"
1)Not "Usual top 6 EPL" vs laliga teams
2)Not "Usual top 3 La Liga" vs EPL teams

When 1)Non "Usual top 6 EPL" teams met Laliga teams their record(W-D-L) is 3-3-12. no big surprise as these teams are going against likes of Real Madrid,Barcelona etc.
When 2)Non "Usual top 3" mainly consisting of sevilla,valencia,deportivo,mallorca,villareal etc met EPL teams.a)their record(W-D-L) against the Not "Usual top 6" is 5-1-2
the next one is the decisive stat in the thread as it depicts how the usual narrative is just lies in order to cover up the EPL's horrible record b)the Record of Non "Usual top 3" against "usual top 6" is 15-24-22 !!!clearly showing the smalle La Liga teams are putting up a fight
so basically when Non "Usual top 3 "matched up with EPL their record(W-D-L) is 20-25-23 !! which is a staggering record considering the vast differences between the teams squad,financial power.
these Stats are basically implying La Liga does not need to rely on Real Madrid,Barcelona or Atletico Madrid to flex their league strength like most EPL fans claim.further debunking the myth of "EPL teams are losing vs LL teams because EPL is so competitive and tiring"
Which is BS because what explanation would you give to teams like villareal,valencia,sevilla etc as they have also have a similar challenge not to mention compete with the 2 Big Horses.
