Either homophobia/misogyny/racism/other bigotries aren't part of Christianity

...so stop defending Christians from social/financial/professional* consequences for them

OR

They ARE integral to Christianity

...so stop calling Christians who engage in them "fake Christians".
*before some FreeSpeech rando Kool-Aid Mans in here to scream about the First Amendment, that protects you against *government interference.*

People not wanting to associate with you because of your harmful crap ideas is the marketplace of ideas working as intended.
Like, either:

it would be Wrong to stop inviting, to your industry happy hour that Christian freelance writer who keeps going on about how the gays must be stopped and how trans women are men because those are cherished, integral parts of Christianity...
...and therefore not inviting him to your networking hour (as he makes it hostile to all the gay and/or trans people there, and anyone who cares about anyone who's LGBT) is not excluding him because he's a bigot, but because he's a *Christian*

OR
...homophobia/misogyny/transphobia AREN'T inherent parts of Christianity, and you can and should refuse to associate with him because he's a massive bigot and there SHOULD be consequences for that.
But if you're going to keep throwing up your hands and saying you can't keep bigots out of your spaces because Freedom of Religion, then you don't get to say bigotry isn't part of Christianity.
Because y'all are sure as fuck imposing professional/social/financial consequences on marginalized people who point out problems with various industries, subcultures, etc.
Black woman: this fandom is racist

Companies/event organizers/etc.: well, we can't invite HER to speak, it'll offend people

White Christian dude: gay people are destroying America

Companies/etc: well, we can't not invite him because that would be Religious Discrimination
Gay Man: hey can we stop putting White Christian Dude on panels at our events? he keeps posting blogs about how people like me need to be rounded up and tortured into straightness

Company: ...we can't put Gay Man on panels, he's divisive
White Christian Dude: *posts another blog entry about how gay people all need to be executed*

Lesbian Employee: seriously, can we stop hiring this guy to do art for us?

Company: no, that would be Religious Discrimination--he's only saying it on his personal blog
Lesbian Employee, on her personal blog: so my coven and I are doing a working tonight to bring down the patriarchy, who's in?

Company: you can't post that on your blog, it's offensive
Like, literally NO ONE but Christians gets that protection for their beliefs.

You think if a prominent Muslim tech worker went off on gays being "abominations," their career would be okay?
