Why what Jerry Falwell Jr did is bad but really shouldn’t shock us, a thread: (many taken from various sources, but @HuffPost is heavily featured).
Let’s compare it to a few things:

1.) You know the pool boy debacle. You might also know the personal trainer issue. But I won’t go into that here. You can look for yourselves.
2.) In 2015, at a SCHOOL CONVOCATION and in the wake of a mass shooting, he urged students to get their concealed weapons permits and carry on campus so they could kill Muslims.
3.) In 2018, @ShaneClaiborne requested that Falwell meet with him on campus to pray for revival in Lynchburg. Falwell’s response? A direct threat in the form of a letter to arrest Claiborne if he attempted to come on campus to pray. https://twitter.com/shaneclaiborne/status/982041264282656768
4.) He is well-known for his verbal abuse. He even called a student’s parent a “dummy” for questioning his decision to have students return in the midst of a pandemic.
5.) This isn’t the first time he’s participated in activities that imply students should “do as I say, not as I do.” He also lied and said this one wasn’t him.
6.) Lets not forget that this is also not the first time Jerry has had problems with a camera.
So, @LibertyU....why is he the president of a so-called Christian institution? Is it because it was his dad’s institution? Is it because you don’t care? Anything?
And @falkirk_center and @charliekirk11? Do you really think you have any form of moral high ground to talk down to pastors when this is literally your brand?
