hey would you guys be interesteed in me livetweeting me watching legend of korra
Alright just got episode 1 done and it's pretty good all things considered definantly left me wanting more
Ok so episode 2 is also really good and personally I really like the idea of pro-bending

It just feels like a natural sport that would happen in the avatar world
Also I really like korra's dynamic with tenzin can't wait to see where that goes
Episode 3 is done and god damn that was really engaging especially since it gave us a better perspective of where the antagonist group is coming from with their whole "bending causes more harm than good" point of view

I don't think it's right obviously but dude has a point
Also the romantic tension exists i suppose
Episode 4 was real my dude

Like holy shit

Amon just kidnapping korra and going "yo i saw your callout post on Twitter and i just want you know ... your on my list" is just so chilling on a first viewing

Also tenzin's whole speak about fear really hit me personally
I also watched episode 5 and the romantic subplot still exists but I do think the leader of the wolf bats is a good antagonist I hope he doesn't suck next episode
Episode 6 was so fuckin tight and mixed the A plot and B plot in a way I can't say i was expecting so kudos to the writers there

also can confirm the wolf guys got what was coming to them thanks amon very cool
God damnit episode 7 you were suppose to be the wholesome episode to scale down a bit from last episode not keep escalating dude what the fuck

And your going to make Asami into more than just a rich girlfriend too and actually get me invested in her arc

What the fuck
Man episode 8

Police brutality towards citizens who are roiting for their rights as citizens back

Gee thats pretty real but I'm really glad nothing like that is going on in the world right now
Episode 9 was so fuckin hype

God now this is happening
look episode 10 we need to talk

i liked the fights, i'm glad naga got a win, and i'm glad Lin got a really cool toph esk moment. and i like the cliffhanger

but why fartbending

you could've had the kid do anything else

and you choose fartbending

i'll overlook it just this-
-once but don't do this to me again ... please

i want to like you don't make this difficult for me
ah episode 11, i wasn't expecting tragic backstory in your potted kettle today but it was quite satisfying

also tarrlok is still a really bad dude but i kind of feel for him now
alright gonna be honest aside from the cop out of aang just giving korra the solution to fix the damage amon caused and the fartbending

season 1 was really good and i can't wait to see how they top this
Ok season 2 is off to a pretty good start so far

Boomy is just the best
I love the spirits designs and the way they move
And Mr I'm totally not the main villian kind of has a point about spiritual balance or whatever as well as giving us an interesting moral choice for korra
Alright episode 3 and things are still good so far

Also what the fuck Unalaq
Look korra season 2 I get Bolin got himself into this but what the fuck is up with you and just being Bolin torture porn?

It isn't my kink and frankly I'm a little concerned
Episode 5 was a bit of a drop in quality personally like why would you have the cliffhanger of Bolin's ex girlfriend going on a manhunt for him only to then start the next episode with the gang arriving in New republic city like that never happened

I just

What?
And then they show up in the end to chase korra and no one mentions the chase prior so it makes me think that scene actually didn't happen

But whatever like at worst this is just a production error and while it's not great I can overlook it

It happens
Alright episode 6 got back on it's feet

Though personally I'm not the biggest fan of Bolin becoming a overzealous movie star but whatever I guess
WHY THE FUCK ARE THE SPIRITS OF LIGHT AND DARKNESS GLOW IN THE DARK CARPETS?
... so as you can probably tell I am very mixed on beginnings parts 1 and 2

So I'll just start with what I like

The art style is fantastic taking Chinese paintings then putting it into animation and the way they do it is god damn gorgeous it felt like my eyes had an orgas-
I also like the b plot of won's human friends and spirit friends inevitably going to war because of his actions, very tragic stuff there.

... and I think that's all that comes to mind

Now for what I dislike about beginnings

I'm not a big fan of the lion turtles giving peop-
-le bending instead of the original benders that were established in avatars, personally that's a lame retcon.

Now more importantly ... WHY WOULD YOU USE THE IDEA OF YIN AND YANG WHEN YOU JUST MAKE YIN THE GOOD GUY AND YANG THE VILLIAN THAT'S NOT FUCKING YIN AND YANG YOU FUCKER
That's not how this shit works writer man

I also don't like how it goes out of it's way to explain spirits and the avatar state i can live with explaining the origins of the avatar as ratu merging with won but personally I feel all this other stuff was more interesting when -
- they didn't explain it, for example the avatar state in avatar was the avatar drawing on the past experiences of his previous lifes for a short time while in korra it's just a spirit energy source that won touched and bam he's suddenly super stronk

It's just a lot less unique
Also this exposition dump put a grinding halt on every other plot point going on in the season that I wanted to see get resolved

Like bolin's acting caree-

Tbh they could've pased it better

Why didn't they do it like they did with korra''s flashbacks to aang in season 1
And foreshadow it a bit before this two parter to at least make it work into the plot more organically

Also man this was a really long tangent I went on i sure hope it will be the last comedically large tangent I go on in this thread
