@LawyersComm mgmt claims they just want to get to the bargaining table yet the quickest, fairest way to the table is voluntary recognition. The faster @KristenClarkeJD approves VR, the faster we can work together to address the reasons #LCNeedsAUnion in the first place. Such as:
#LCNeedsAUnion because despite being located in one of the most expensive cities in the country and @KristenClarkeJD $200k+salary, a yearly cost of living adjustment is not guaranteed to @lawyerscomm employees.
#LCNeedsAUnion because at a racial justice organization, white staff should be able to tell staff of color apart. Additionally, staff shouldn& #39;t have to demand an implicit bias training--it should be part of the fundamental framework of the organization.
#LCNeedsAUnion because it shouldn’t take three months to resolve HR complaints at @lawyerscomm. @KristenClarkeJD
#LCNeedsAUnion because homophobic employees @lawyerscomm should not be able to harass queer employees without consequences. @KristenClarkeJD won& #39;t even require staff to use pronouns in bios or email signatures, despite the diverse identities of our staff and those we serve.
#LCNeedsAUnion because staff @lawyerscomm, particularly women of color, should be compensated for additional office responsibilities, rather than continuously exploited for additional unpaid labor. @KristenClarkeJD
#LCNeedsAUnion because it would be great to have a @lawyerscomm employee handbook, rather than 2 years of promises that one is coming. @KristenClarkeJD
#LCNeedsAUnion because Black women should not be tone policed and retaliated against for calling out racism in the workplace. Especially with a Black woman like @KristenClarkeJD as executive director.
