The condescending tweets toward people who are taken aback regarding the Mulan price are really getting under my skin.

We are still in a pandemic with MANY still out of work or having vastly reduced hours/income. $37 for a rental isn't a universally reasonable price.
Furthermore, most of these tweets come from critics and others on the "inside" that see most all of their films for FREE at press screeners or through screeners online.

So it REALLY rubs me wrong to hear them talk down about price to those that pay for all the films they see.
Especially considering, who knows how many will also watch Mulan for free before release yet they are telling others how to feel about price.

SO if you have the money and want to use for a rental, GREAT. But don't talk down to folks who don't have $37 to just throw around
A final note, many are ok paying the price for home viewing because they have a good set-up, with large screen and speakers, high quality.

MANY do not. They will be paying $37 for a standard film on their standard tv with their standard sound equipment.
So to conclude, I have BEEN on the Mulan support train. The first female-directed live-action Disney fairytale with an authentically Asian cast for a blockbuster with a $200mil+ budget. I was ALL-IN and I desperately wish it could have gotten a fair chance in theaters.
I would have preferred Mulan be bumped to next year so it could have been experienced on the BIG SCREEN (which I believe to be more powerful an experience to feel that representation).

I will probably rent Mulan honestly. But I don't get down with the condescending narrative.
