After Ciccio Caputo left last season, the Azzurri have really missed an instictive goal scorer. Mancuso had a good season and top scored with 13, but he had no help elsewhere. (2/5)

Empoli’s usual style of play is attractive with quick passing. This was severely lacking this year. The midfield needs to be improved, hopefully they can keep Liam Henderson who had a good season since joining in Jan, and pair him with a playmaker. (3/5)

The team has had a high turnover of managers recently. Pasquale Marino improved the team since taking the reigns and should be given a full campaign to try and attain promotion. (4/5)

Overall it was a disappointing season punctuated by two dramatic wins over local rivals Pisa. Hopefully the team can challenge for promotion next season in what will be a tougher league with Monza, Reggina etc. entering Serie B. Forza @EmpoliCalcio! (5/5)
