~~ The Value of Integrity

In light of recent events... (e.g. scammers)

I'd like to share a story about ONE of the FOUR cores of credibility...

Which is...

Integrity!

(cont...)
In May 2005

The #1 ranked tennis player, Andy Roddick, went head-to-head with an UNRANKED Fernando Verdasco

During the match point...

Verdasco served and the judge called "out"...

Thus ending the match and awarding Andy the win...

But...

There was a mistake!

(cont...)
Andy knew that the ball was "in".

Instead of being awarded the winner, Andy CHALLENGED the judge by showing him that the ball, was in fact, in...

Instead of Roddick being awarded the point and winning the game...

The point went to Verdasco and the game continued..

(cont...)
Could you guess what happened after?

You're right...

Andy LOST the game and cost him a Championship!

These were the headlines that followed:

"Honesty backfires...."

"Sportsmanship cost him a championship"

"Fair play cost Andy..."

(cont...)
Although Andy lost the game, he gained something FAR FAR greater...

Integrity!

Although the headlines MOCKED HIM...

Athletes, umpires, and people PRAISED HIM...

Everyone loved him for his INTEGRITY
How does this translate on Twitter?

If you're a person that walks the talk and is congruent with their actions...

You're integrity may be proof enough for people to buy from you...

They trust you!

(cont...)
They see your posts, DMs, comments, replies...

If it's all congruent with the image they already have of you... they'll buy from you!

Treat every interaction with the utmost respect and you will be rewarded with the same!
