formed friendships, learnt about other cultures. 1st camping trip. living close meant picnics/dinner, amount of cooking I did then
Staff - OMG, everything was done for us- even job applications filled & mailed
TA’s & senior support in 3rd/4th years

3/4 For most,advisors were supportive & gave us time.
Meetings were confidence boosters. I also appreciated discussions of latest research.
My advisor would also frequently check in on me. ( it’s been so & so wks .. )
It was hard to feel lost or invisible.
