the dumbest thing i ever heard from a kuro stan was "yana only confirmed the twin!ciel theory because it was popular in the fandom. there were no previous hints for the theory." yall really out here moving this way ??

allow me to educate yall who think this way about the manga and how this mindset is actually VERY OFFENSIVE to yana toboso and the devoted fandom itself.

yana toboso has planned catastrophes significant enough for the plot YEARS before actually writing it out (+)

the baron kelvin incident is a perfect example. in the beginning of the manga, we learn that o!ciel is kidnapped and tortured by a sick demonic cult. he summons sebastian michaelis and the story continues on from there when o!ciel's much older

mind you, it took YEARS (+)

to finally reveal the person pulling strings behind the cult. yana introduces the book of circus members and baron kelvin so happens to be the "father" of these adopted circus members: was there a HUGE hint previous to the boc chapter? no. does this mean it was completely (+)

pointless and yana just threw it in because she was bored ?? no.

kelvin served as a helpful side character to o!ciel. even though he was a sicko, he did leak important information to o!ciel and even made a useful path for his revenge

yana has hinted o!ciel's twin previous to introducing him. it was just VERY subtle and hard to point out. i know some information in the manga may have led yall to believe that it was impossible for o!ciel to have a twin but that's exactly what yana wanted you to believe

let's look at o!ciel before the twin!ciel theory came true: o!ciel's desire for vengeance was strong. not even a demon could scare him out of it. sure, having his parents murdered like that before him is sad and all but would that have been a strong enough reason (+)

for o!ciel to go this far? imagine if he secretly had another reason for his choices.. one that hits close to home. plus, are yall going to ignore the fact that elizabeth's character was exaggerated throughout the whole manga. like WHY was she so devoted to being (+)

cutesy and shit for o!ciel when he had ZERO interest in it? he hated it, actually. so why keep up this stereotype for her? she had a reason and it may be small, but it's what separates o!ciel from r!ciel. o!ciel liked elizabeth's strong side, r!ciel did not.

yana is SMART SMART and all her work and effort leveled down to "what the audience wants" is just a smack to the face. i understand if yall misinterpret the manga and yana's reasonings but that's what this thread exists for
