Close to none of you have actual knowledge of production techniques, vocal ability, or marketing, but insist on getting on Twitter and arguing about it all anyway. And if someone DOES say something accurate that doesn’t fit your narrative y’all get their account suspended. https://twitter.com/easypotus/status/1290408882473508866
No, but seriously a “triple high note” can not exist without there being... three people singing. And even then, no one would call it that. One person can not sing a triple high note alone. It’s just called singing a ballad sis. Which idols do well.
You know what else one person (except in the sense of Tuvan overtone singing, see Lalah Hathaway) can’t do? Sing a harmony. When your fave is out there singing their heart out, don’t ruin the comments by talking about the wonderful harmony that they didn’t sing.
Not everyone in the industry has the skill, charisma, or want to have a solo debut and that is totally fine. A lot of solo debuts are pushed on the idols because their fans won’t let up about it, and they end up not doing well.
Stop using “vocal color” to explain why your fave is not hitting the correct notes. Vocal color is a characteristic of the voice that can be used as an enhancement by experienced vocalists. It shouldn’t effect being able to be on pitch.
ALL kpop albums are bundles. EVERY SINGLE ONE. You buy it for the photo book, the photo cards, the posters. So, I would like all of you to stop with these “my fave is better than yours because they use different marketing tactics” arguments.
Calling anything that doesn’t directly emulate genres usually dominated by black people (r&b, Jazz, blues) “noise music” is strange. Especially considering the anti-blackness in the fandoms, but this underlying need y’all have for these idols to do stereotypical black music.
A lot of times when writers/producers tweet about an upcoming project, song, or MV, they’ve been instructed to do so by the company. Y’all jumping in their mentions and dragging them and potentially ruining the working relationship they have with the idols is... a choice.
Lip syncing is not a crime, and with the amount of performances these idols have to do expecting them to NOT lip sync occasionally is absurd. Voice preservation is important. They’re not super human.
anyway... bye 🖤
