VCU PD gets 44% of its funding from VCU students tuition, the remainder comes from the state and VCU Health systems
VCU PD says its completely seperate from RPD, they are only the campus police in the state to have their own training
VCU PD’s jurisdiction is defined by the circuit court of the city of Richmond
RMC falls under VCU PD, they are essentially outsourced security for VCU.
VCU PD’s current force is authorized for 95 officer positions, down 4 from last years 99. They say they are at 87 currently
VCU PD is looking to recruit student workers to create a new position for “student safety” lmaooo
They would train the student under their police training and put them in areas where students “dont feel safe”
