Today I'm going to talk about the Power of stories and how to use them effectively.

[THREAD]
For the past 5+ years, I've always felt like something was missing.

Despite my college degree and a well paying job, I knew deep down I wasn't fulfilled.

I wasn't happy, my life wasn't where I wanted it to be and I certainly hadn't reached my income goals.
But all of that changed when I stumbled upon Money Twitter.

Ever had that moment where everything just clicked all of a sudden?

You know, an "aha" moment?

That's what I'm refferring to.

Do you want to know exactly what changed?

Well, keep on reading.
First of all I'm going to let you know I didn't get rich overnight.

No such thing exists.

But here's exactly what happened within just 30 days of being a member of this amazing community:
1 - My vision got clearer

2 - I grew my Network

3 - I found bigger business opportunities

4 - I'm now in a better position to make more money and eventually quit my stressful 9-5.

And that's only within 30 days!

Do you know what's even crazier?
There are much better success stories than mine!

So many people have changed their lives forever

Imagine where you could be in the next 30 days.

Imagine how you'd feel if you didn't have to worry about money at all.

Wouldn't it be great?

Want to know how?
BOOM!

Now you're hooked.

What you just experienced is the power of good storytelling.

Even if you're in denial, you read this far for a reason.

Something caught your attention, didn't it?

And I can explain to you why it worked.
There are 2 sides to this:

1 - The people familiar with Money Twitter

2 - The people who aren't

Chances are you fall under the 1st category.

In that case it worked because I was validating something you're already familiar with.

Positive reinforcement.
But it still begs the question:

Why was it effective?

That's because I knew who I was writing for.

Do you know what people on Money Twitter like to see?

Stories related to Money Twitter.

Same applies to your niche.

Your content needs to be relatable.
I don't want to make this thread any longer than it needs to be but I also need to include the 7 Elements every story must have:

1 - A Point of View

2 - A Dramatic Question

3 - Emotional Content

4 - Your Voice

5 - A Soundtrack

6 - Economy

7 - Pacing
I'll cover those another day.

The takeaway is Stories get people's attention.

They paint a vivid picture in your reader's mind.

You don't need to use them all the time

But if you're tactful with your approach, a good story can definitely be a game changer.
It may take you some time but with repeated practice you can easily become an effective storyteller.

Learn how to use stories to help your audience and yourself.
