We decided to decorate the remaining rooms of our house this summer after what’s been a pretty rubbish year so far, this included our “summer house” that we are lucky enough to have (not built by us)
We have lived here nearly five years and, hosting the Super Bowl every year aside, haven’t used it much, given the state of it
Firstly I think it’s important to put into context it’s previous use. We think the building was built late 70s/early 80s, the wooden windows and doors are definitely original, and the storage heater (which is now removed and I don’t have a picture of) was, I think, the first heating appliance ever made
So as I said earlier, the advantage of this room is I can host my buddies for the Super Bowl every year without any agg from the missus (or indeed the neighbours) Dont ask me why we are playing fifa here......
The room itself has been pretty bare, horrible yellow walls, poorly insulated and since we moved has basically had two sofas and a tv stand in it. First part of the renovation was to sand down the horrible flakey white wood trims, re-prime and then paint in black satin
On Sunday me and the F-I-L prepped the electrics, and removed the god awful storage heater and the skirting
That brings us to today, where both windows and 1 set of doors were replaced. Main set being done tomorrow!

It’s also been great to tap into two UK businesses for some decor, @idesignbyadam and @KMsportSigned both did me “a deal” which was much appreciated and I’m looking forward to their pieces going on display! (That sounds rude)
Also thanks to @JackHumphreyKM who has just confirmed his suppprt for a little woodwork project on bank holiday weekend
