petitions have no effect in lebanon. their government doesn’t care. let me explain a couple things
they were planning to shut down the country fully on thursday because the covid 19 cases are out of control. today’s events just pushes everything back making it worse than it already is
their currency currently doesn’t have any values and they’ve have been going crazy trying to trade them for US dollars instead. everything is also extremely expensive since they don’t have any laws against raising prices leaving many people to go hungry
they barely have functioning electricity or water. turning on the lights in more than 2? rooms or running the microwave the same time as the fridge cuts out the power. the gov only provides half their electricity needs while citizens have to find private org to get the rest from
the government also has extremely poor waste management. you can see trash bags whenever you walk around and at point caused mutant mosquitos/bugs that hurt a lot of people.
there’s been attempts to raise prices of taxes and other goods even tho employment rates are so low. women aren’t allowed to pass down their citizenship to their children
lebanon already had a low amount of imports for medical supplies and they’ve been at an all time low because of covid 19. now with the main ports being gone dark days are coming to the entire country. please keep them in your prayers and donate if you can https://lebanonscrisis.carrd.co/#
donating is what’s important rn. people are on the streets everyday protesting for almost a whole year. an electronic petition won’t do anything to change their minds

forgot to mention that they don’t have health care plans at all. people have to pay for everything & always BEFORE getting treatment. some people die at the doors of hospitals & are refused entry. a country that has so much potential to be great is being ruined by a corrupt gov
