For Droplet, Oxford researchers, put 278 obese patients, mostly women, on 810 calories for 8 weeks or standard care. For Diamond, a study which my wife, Dr Clare Bailey is an author on, they asked people who were overweight or obese to stick to 810 calories, low carb, for 8 weeks.
