this is what i think at least cause in the past few months because of covid-19 and the current lebanese economic crisis people have been trying to send money to lebanon but every time that happens it's converted to lebanese currency and the banks (??) take the original currency
i'm not saying dont donate !! just know that IF U DO DONATE the entire donation probably wont reach only an amount will ! so if ur still okay with that go ahead :((

there are certain organizations (this one ex) that cover food/medical supplies expenses & send them to lebanon as in they dont directly send money over so it wont be converted instead they make sure it's used to buy the supplies needed then they send them https://gf.me/u/yka3si
someone said i was spreading misinformation which is absolutely wrong as i'm speaking FROM EXPERIENCE... my family relatives & a lot of family friends have tried to send us fresh money before but the foreign currency was converted to lebanese currency less than it's worth
again i'm not saying DON'T DONATE just be careful who you're donating to & how you're donating
