What's the point of striving to be "classy" when the whole concept of being classy is rooted & drenched in racism, elitism, casteism, colonialism, trans/homophobia, misogyny, & cis-heteronormativity? It's also often confused with having basic integrity. We can aspire for better.

More often than not, the pressure to be classy less-than-softly perpetuates the idea of being ~civilized~ about status quos that have a history of going unchanged with politeness. Who gives a fuck lol.

Kya ukhaar liya humne ji-huzuri kar ke? "Gawdy" makeup na laga ke? Gaali na de ke? Space take up na kar ke? System ke pairedaron ko toh abhi bhi faqat hamare wujood se bad-hazmi ho jati hai lol.

Kya diya humein barson ki self-censorship ne? Agar reeti rivaaj ne humein bachpan se chup reh kar sab sehna na sikhaya hota, toh kya hum ziada azaad mehsoos na karte? Kya hum apne qudrati jism aur jazbaaton mein ziada pur-aitemaad na hote? Haq maangte huay itne sharminda na hote?
