The value we get from stories needs to be more than what’s canon or not canon.
We should also be able to let go of frustrations when contradictions happen. Because when something gets as expansive as this universe, it’s an inevitability.

It’s nice when things line up, it feels like we’re being rewarded for our time investment. But I also don’t expect the audience or creators of much farther reaching projects to be constrained in any way by what a comicbook from 5 years ago said.

Boba Fett was this, now he’s that. Poe was a spice runner at some point.
Half the time the canon works around the new story more than the story works around the canon.
When you have hundreds of writers on different projects across several years, it’s not all gonna line up.

Hell, remember when Bilbo found the One ring of Power in the Hobbit? They changed dialogue and descriptions in later prints to better fit LOTR, originally it was just a magic ring.
