You're beautiful, Memphis, no matter what @38Godfrey says.

IT'S MEMPHIS DAY.
An almost perfect 2-man building job by Justin Fuente and Mike Norvell. Fuente built something out of nothing, and after maintaining it for a bit, Norvell found a new gear entirely.
Memphis was the king of the "every play is losing 5 yards or gaining 30" offenses last year. So glorious. Brady White's somehow still got eligibility left, and he's still got Gainwell and Coxie too.
Memphis broke through last year because the defense broke through. Went from the 80s in def SP+ to 40th. They lose a couple of solid front-7 playmakers, but most of last year's 2-deep returns.
In an alternate universe, where we at least pretended to do what was necessary to have a full CFB season, Memphis had a manageable non-con and a serious shot at 11+ wins. Will be a major AAC contender no matter what sched we're looking at.
Memphis' SP+ history.

1. That's a lot of SEC wins right there.

2. It is impossible to understate the magnificent job Fuente did. They were SO BAD when he got there.
