So this is a rant about Niall so if you are a very sensitive Niall stan then keep on scrolling. So this rant is about how Niall did performative activism towards the issues in Palestine.

For starters what is performative activism? Performative activism is when you act like you care about a certain issue/topic when in reality you don’t give a shit e.g if you post a black square for BLM but don’t sign any petitons or spread awareness about BLM

How did Niall technically do performative activism? Well at the end of June, a fan tweeted at Niall to help spread about the annexation of Palestine to which N responded with saying he wasn’t educated enough on the topic but will be educated soon. A month goes by and....

nothing has happened, not a single tweet about Palestine came from Niall and to make matters worse Niall was tweeting normally while fans were waiting for a simple tweet from him. Some might say it’s Niall’s life and he can talk about whatever he wants but in reality....

Niall is in a very privilege position to stay silent while other people are being brutally murdered in Palestine. From that many fans respectfully start to unstan Niall for not speaking up yet. Just to clarify I am not forcing anyone to unstan Niall just showing different povs.
