I knew it. I knew in early June, before number started falling, that Trump would at some point start bragging about "deaths per case"as a sign of success. This number means nothing EXCEPT that policy has failed, & @WhiteHouse and @POTUS are too stupid to know that.

To explain..1

...In early June, the "open 'er up with no policies in place" mindset had already started to show an impact: the average age of the infected started dropping. The reason? Trump and his dumb cronies kept chirping that young people would be fine, so the number of that age...2

...group would start running outside, taking risks, etc. Thats why the average age of infected started dropping. Second, all other countries got on crushed the curve early on, when MDs were still figuring out the best way to treat this thing. They learned, patients on their...3

...stomachs had a higher success rate than patients on their backs, that Hydroxychloroquine killed more people than it helped (and later, that it didnt help at all), etc. If everyone in America suddenly became HIV infected NOW because the government kept saying "no problem!"...4

...the deaths per case would be dramatically lower than it was in 1990. While that is because of medical advances, the case growth would show a massive failure of government messaging and policy.

So, you shift the age cohort of COVID infections down, you screw up early on...5

...in containing the disease - allowing for medical professionals time to find better ways to manage it (forgot the growing use of remdesivir, which Trump and Fox keep pissing on because it isn't hyrdo, but thank God doctors ignore them because it does have an effect) - and...6

...deaths per case will inevitably drop. Had they acted with proper policy in February, our deaths per case would be higher. If they hadn't urged young people to go out with false assurances, the deaths per case would be higher. And this number is about to drop again because...7

...Trump is forcing kids back to school. The percent of them that will die as opposed to the percent of them that will be sick by this idiotic policy will again be lower. And even though they will in turn infect LOTS of others, because children will be a massive cohory among...8

...the sick, we will still have lower deaths per case. Big reason: Other countries' government are not sociopathic enough to send children into the buzzsaw BEFORE they crushed the curve. We arent even close.

Next, of course: The only number that matters in terms of success is..9

...deaths per capita. But you're not #DimwitDon. You dont work in the @WhiteHouse. You're smart enough to know that already.
