While there’s so much I disagree with @JoyAnnReid about, I really liked her conversation with @AnandWrites on http://The.Ink  about an off-ramp, whether it’s from racist views or sexist views or what have you. People deserve an opportunity to change. 1/x
I started the Decent Fed Project because I believe our over-200-year-old democratic system needs an off-ramp to remain a democracy. By decentralizing our federation, we give our diverse coalition of several cultures on a huge piece of land room to grow and change. 2/x https://twitter.com/decentfedproj/status/1262813617784786946
We don’t have to agree to be able to grow together. We just have to agree that the system is broken, and build a new one that lets us grow in our own ways, without departing from one another entirely. That’s what the Decent Fed Project is all about. 3/x
. @JoyAnnReid actually says it perfectly in her conversation with @AnandWrites. Let’s build a nation the way jazz was built here. Allow coalitions to *improvise* together in a multi-regional framework. Then we might achieve what we’ve been aiming at for so long. (End of Thread)
