Dear Artists ~

Your career as an artist is a long game, not a sprint. We get better in time bc we grow & evolve

Weโ€™re taught many toxic habits bc (capitalistic) institutitions tell us we have to be a super star at 22

The old rules fail us so
We will write our own story now ๐Ÿ”ฅ
I think we put so much pressure on ourselves as artists & truly is a tangled mess of our own nature that gets compounded with these expectations that were created be people who designed to keep โ€œothersโ€ out

I think about this a lot these day.
Lots of work to do & undo โœจ
I donโ€™t have answers, but I question a lot.

So!! In the meanwhile be a little kinder to yourself~

your body is your soul but also your instrument & we need to take better self care

Everything from posture, to eating & hydrating to not overworking & our mental health ๐Ÿ’–๐ŸŒน
We donโ€™t confront and explore the actual why we feel pressure as artists enough imo.

Weโ€™re taught to wear it like a badge of honor. And while heck yeah itโ€™s great to be proud of hard work, we can do well to question our institutions and why and what & who we choose to glorify.
Anyways you are lovely! You and Your heath in all aspects are more important than graphic design fame, Internet points, arbitrary deadlines, and old guard expectations.

Itโ€™s really valid to be a little kinder to you and those around you ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿฅบ๐Ÿฆ‹๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ
