Asian Americans who are racist blow my mind. "I'm not white and I'm successful so Black people should be too"
yeah but the US only takes highly qualified Asians in STEM fields, so there's no poor/uneducated Asians being let into the country. so it isn't comparable.
also Asian Americans are less than 1% of the country while Black people are 13% so is it really smart to compare a small group of highly qualified people to a large group of people who've been denied opportunities and oppressed?
I'm in no way saying that Asians don't face discrimination. it's just not on the same scale or of the same severity as Black ppl. we're being painted as some model minority not bc we're good but bc we're used as pawns to further deny Black ppl opportunities
and Asian Americans also have the highest income disparity.
they're also 75% less likely to get a loan in the US as compared to a white person.
it's 91% for Latino people, and 95% for Black people
we're being played.
Asian immigrants in America are cherry-picked, the best and highest qualified individuals from their own countries.
This creates the illusion that we're law-abiding hardworking residents.
So you're just used as a card for yts to deny justice to Black people.
