1) I have something to say. It will not win me many friends, I imagine, but it needs to be said nonetheless.

There are people on this site attacking gerim (converts) to Judaism because of their status as gerim.

This is despicable.
2) Firstly, it directly contravenes the Torah, which says THIS in Vayikra (19,34)

Disagree with someone's political views, sure. But you CANNOT attack them for their status as a convert. It is completely wrong.
3) Such behaviour is also identical to that displayed by the people of Sodom, as mentioned in Bereishit (19,9)

When Lot obstructed the people of Sodom, they said "he just came to live amongst us and now he's acting as a judge over us?"
4) I understand the "lived experience" argument that says "people who have not experienced antisemitism in the way that we have (throughout their entire lives) should consider listening more to those who have always been Jewish."

But that's not what I'm hearing. At all.
5) I'm hearing "how dare they have the NERVE to speak their minds & recount their experiences. They should sit down, shut up & leave the talking to the REAL Jews."

And that attitude makes me sick to my stomach, it really does.
6) I disagree politically with a number of the people being attacked. But I will disagree politically.

I will not EVER suggest that they have less of a right to speak as one of us because they have not always been Jewish.

And I beseech you to do the same.
