• This is more about the midoriyas but it’s canon that Deku’s dad is overseas for work. That’s actually a common occurrence in Japan that the spouse gets transferred overseas for 4-7 years for work. It doesn’t actually mean he abandoned them.
• The conbinis generally sell premade foods and are for the most part (at least in Tokyo) open 24/7
• Getting off at 5 PM is incredibly early in Japan and generally only done by people who need to pick kids up. It’s encouraged to work late and salary men often come home anywhere between 9 pm- 11 pm
• Trains stop around Midnight, so if you’re out later than that you either have to walk home or take a taxi. Or sometimes just stay in a hotel for the night.
• A bad side effect of the working society in Japan and overworking. A lot of employees in Japan work from 60-110 hours a week.

• bigger Groceries in Japan will have a section for you to pack your own stuff after buying (like at Aldi).
• People don’t sue each other as much as Americans sue each other. Actually from my own experience generally the only lawsuits there are are with big companies. There are exceptions of course but it doesn’t happen as often as America.
• Gay marriage in Japan isn’t legalized yet BUT the gays found a loophole. You can adopt your lover as your “child” to attain the same last name and family benefits.
• Also it’s perfectly normal to adopt adults.

• They don’t really use text messaging there. The preferred method of messaging is an app called LINE.

• Oh! Deliveries in Japan are a bit different too. They actually come with the dishes and after you eat, you wash the dishes and put them outside your door for the delivery man to pick up the next day.

• There are actually vending machines that sell hot food. They’re not at every corner like the drink vending machines, but they’re not rare either.
• Restaurants where you buy a ticket of your meal and restaurants where you stand are common. Since Japan is so small there are a lot of restaurants that have limited seating areas.
• Generally, kids start going places on their own by really young. That’s why you never saw parents with Bakugou and deku when they were out playing. Also applies to local grocery stores, trains, and school.
• As much as I’d like to think Endeavor slightly raised the kids, the hard truth is traditional views of a Japanese household, the husband never takes care of the kids. (If’s different recently tho). Even regular dads were hardly in their kid’s lives in that way.
• It’s generally considered rude to talk on trains. Small, quiet chatter with your friend/family is fine but if you talk on your phone on a train that’s like, suuuuper rude.
• Speaking of trains, generally the first three or so cabins are girls only cabins during rush hour because of the rampant molestation problem.
• This is mainly for tokyo (I’m not sure about other cuties) but they will basically squish as many people into an elevator as they can like sardines.
