Thread on every teams premier league 2019/20 season.
Arsenal - a fairly miserable season for arsenal which was saved by a rather fortunate FA cup win, lucky to finish in the top half - 8th
Aston Villa - after spending big in the summer window you would’ve expected better - should’ve been relegated but were saved by goal line technology not being turned on - 17th
Bournemouth - disasterous season which saw them relegated after a fairly long stay in the top flight - to add salt to the wound Eddie Howe has left the club - 18th
Brighton - tipped to go down they had a mixed season with multiple relegation scares, but they were to be put to ease with a win against arsenal which set them on track for another year in the top flight - 15th
Burnley - a fairly decent season for Burnley which left them only 5 points off a spot in europe, took many points off top 6 sides and ended up solidly in mid table - 10th
Chelsea - a great first season under frank lampard, they started well and sort of tailed off towards the end but they still secured the champions league spot - probs should’ve won the FA cup too - 4th
Crystal Palace - what looked to be a great season finished awfully, at one point on track for a European spot, 8 straight losses meant they languished firmly in the bottom half of the table - 14th
Everton - a pretty poor season by their standards however it was a transition phase like many other clubs with the appointment of Ancellotti, expect much better next year - 12th
Leicester - given where they were I would imagine every Leicester fan is disappointed- they looked set for champions league but bottled it horribly - 5th
Liverpool - you have to applaud them really, in a season where almost everyone else was totally awful they managed to get the job done, they did bottle invincibles, points record etc but still worthy champions - 1st
Man United - at the new year Ole looked likely to get the sack however the arrival of Bruno brought new life in the team who eventually pushed up all the way to securing UCL football - 3rd
Man City - probably expected to win the league but were terribly inconsistent and lost to some poor sides - nevertheless a league cup win and still chance of winning the UCL would still make it a great season - 2nd
Newcastle - not a horrific season but could’ve been much better, a typical finish for them - many fans were looking to better things but the takeover has fallen through so expect more of the same - 13th
Norwich - truly abysmal season which looked promising at the start, what can you say except the championship is where you belong - 20th
Sheffield United - you’ve got to feel for them havent you, what looked to be a fairytale season with them possibly getting UCL football ended up with no europe at all, still a top half finish is a great achievement for a club many thought would go down - 9th
Southampton - a season that could’ve gone 2 ways after their thumping defeat against Leicester, luckily it went the right way and they stay in the top flight for another year - 11th
Tottenham - a transitional year for us, a horrific start saw fan favourite poch sacked and world class manager Jose appointed, blighted by injuries Jose did a great job with what he had available and eventually secured European football, expect great things next year - 6th
Watford - changing managers like they’re going out of fashion - Pearson did a great job getting them back on track however with the boards decision to sack him they deserved to go down - 19th
West Ham - poor season really but did just enough to stay up for another year, what else can you say about West Ham I mean they’re just there 😂 - 16th
Wolves - a good season from Wolves but they just miss out on Europe - Nuno has done a great job with the side and expect them to be up there again next year - 7th
